Petition by Mir Kazim the grocer
Mir Kazim the grocer writes to Hujjat al-Islam to tell him that he had to sell his sugar cube shop to provide for his family, that he has lost all his capital, and while he has opened a grocery shop, he is still unable to afford the cost of living, despite having sold his household furnishings, and even his wife's clothing, three years ago. He has been so desperate that has even pondered killing himself and his family. He requests assistance.

Correspondence regarding the murder of Mullabashi Taliqani's daughter
Ibrahim Khan's wife wanted to go to the public bath, but her husband refused to let her. While they were disputing, a relative of the husband arrived and the two men killed the wife, disposing of her body that same night. After a few days, when the corpse was found, her father, Haj Mullabashi Taliqani identified her and found out that the couple had had a fight on the day of the murder. Taxes of Mulla ‘Ali and his wife, 1925
Mulla ‘Ali Dizaji Ahari writes to Hujjat al-Islam about the demand of the Department of Taxes in Ahar that he and his wife, the daughter of Karbalayi ‘Abbas, pay taxes based on their belonging to the Qarachurlu clan. He states that they do not belong to the Qarachurlu clan; also argues that taxing of women is not common, and asks the addressee to mediate with the head of the Tax Department. On the margin, Ayatollah Sadiq Tababayi has requested Amin al-Ulama’ to review this case.

Qadam Khayr Garusi's petition, 1914 or 1915
Qadam Khayr Garusi complains to Majlis against Haj Mirza Abu al-Bashar, who has seized her properties after the death of her husband, Sayyid ʻAbbas. The Ministry of the Interior ordered the government of Garus to investigate the case. The Majlis writes to Qadam Khayr that her complaint has been received and is being dealt with.

Two brothers, Karbalayi Muhammad ʻAli and ʻAli Akbar, complain to the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, against Fath al-Dawlah, who left his wife, the sister of these two brothers, and his child 15 months ago. In this period, his child died and these two brothers, who have their own families to feed, must now provide for their sister too; the office [of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs] in Hamadan writes to this Ministry that Fath al-Dawlah, who works for the British and had been in Hamadan for business, had married, but left his wife after the business was completed.
